Helpppp! the stupid orange light is BACK ON and the PAD STOPPED WORKING!! The referenced user guide depicts a virtual "button" on the center of the touch pad top edge to control the light, but tapping in that area does nothing. Double-tapping the top left corner does enable/disable the touchpad though. Thankfully I found this thread and yes--the fn+spacebar does toggle the touchpad light
